The latest KMDSI bulletins include

#6 of 2007, (October 22, 2007), Change to Product, New Flex Control Knobs, Part Numbers 520-524 & 520-525 (Please read entire bulletin @ www.kirbymorgan.com).

Surface Supply Requirements (document attached)

Attached are the new surface supply tables for all three types of KMDSI demand regulators. These tables are in the new revised surface supply requirements rewrite. The new tables are based on surface gauge pressure, RMV and depth. The pressure tables were developed primarily for the new European CE requirements that require 75 RMV. The new tables are based on heavy work rates of 40-75 RMV, and allow greater flexibility when using compressors. Note: There are separate tables for the (SuperFlow / SuperFlow 350), the SF-450 SS and Rex Regulator, as well as separate HP tables. The old pressure for depth formula and tables can still be used if desired. Remember, (Thou Shall Have Pressure). The paper also gives some good information on simple flow testing of compressors, consoles, and umbilicals, as well as other supply requirements. If you have any questions please call or e-mail Dive Lab.

Projects in the works for 2008

Dive Lab's new 200 meter ANSTI breathing simulator and system is in full operation and we are scheduled to do a lot of testing in 2008. Tables for the I.D. umbilicals, as well testing lots of new stuff from KMDSI.

The U.S. Army Combat Engineer Divers, 7th group

From Fort Shafter, Hawaii. They have spent the past year in Iraq and Kuwait covering all the dive jobs for the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard. The 7th group has been using their XLDS system for all dive jobs and also have a KM-77 to put through the ringer. We look forward to their comments and suggestions. We will be putting some pictures on the Dive Lab web page.

Reminder

Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail technical questions or problems. It is important to include e-mails to KMDSI as well. KMDSI is interested in any and all comments, problems and anything that can make it better for the user/maintainer.
